How long has your company been in the physical security market?
More than 20 years.
Why did you join ONVIF and how long has your company been a member?
Costar Technologies joined ONVIF and released our first Profile S supported devices in 2013.
To which specific profiles do your company’s products conform, and why is that beneficial to your business?
Costar Technologies products conform to a variety of ONVIF profiles. We are primarily designing and manufacturing video camera/recording solutions so Profiles T, S & G are most prominent. Profile M is appearing in many of our newer products as we add more analytic capabilities across our product offer. The ability to design, build and deliver solutions that work well with other manufacturers enables us to provide more solutions to a broader range of applications and end users.
What does it mean to you to be a member of ONVIF and what kinds of business impacts have you seen as a result?
Costar Technologies has embraced ONVIF and its mission and activities for more than nine years. Working with ONVIF and other industry manufacturers, we are committed to making it possible for disparate security systems to work more harmoniously with one another. This allows industry manufacturers such as Costar Technologies to enable the future of the security industry to be agnostic.
Are there any specific benefits membership brings to your business?
Costar Technologies involvement with ONVIF and its industry partners has resulted in the design and production of many ONVIF conformant security products and solutions. ONVIF enables us to provide our customers with greater product choice and flexibility. Security end users are increasingly looking towards ONVIF-conformant security solutions, such as those offered by Costar Technologies, to secure their enterprises.
